Devin Eierman made an amazing clean sweep, taking the checkered flag at every race and housing all 1st place trophies for the season. Devin had to start at the back of the line-up for every race. The competitor cars didn’t make it easy for Devin to take the checkered flags, he had to work for them. This was Devin’s best year so far, with Vintage Modified. Devin started racing in 1990 with the Spanaway Hobby Stocks and joined VMRA in 1994. Devin races in a 1934 Chevy Sedan with a 350 engine. He ended his season with a total of 745-points. Congratulations Devin and his pit crew, Vince Hose and his father Robert Eierman. A very special thank you to MariAnn, Devin’s wife and his mom Faith. Also, thank you to the #6-team’s sponsors #1 Sponsor is Mom, Transmission Sales & Service.
Congratulations to Ken Kaltschmidt #27 for taking home the second place trophy. Ken and his crew chief, Vince Conwell, shared the driving this year so congratulations to both men for a well ran season. Ken and Vince joined VMRA this year, 2017. They are both very seasoned drivers, competing for several years. They bring a lot of knowledge to the club. Great sportsmen. These gentlemen ended their season with a total of 737-points.
Congratulations to Vern Huson #77 for taking home the third place position, ending his racing season with a total of 622-points. Vern drives from Wenatchee. He made it to every race, Vern puts forth 100% effort in getting to every track. Vern began racing in 1964 with A-A Class at Spanaway Speedway. Spanaway Speedway was home to a lot of our drivers, it is a track well missed. He began racing with VMRA in 2015. Vern has 250-career wins. He races in a 1939 Chevy Coupe with a 358 engine. Thank you to Vern’s sponsor, Johnson Electric from Wenatchee.
