| Posted inTodd McCartney driving the #92 car, began racing with Vintage Modified Racing Association in 1997. Todd brings out his beautiful 1946 Ford for the fun and love of racing. Todd ended his 2013 season in 10th place with 69 points. He is a true sportsman and a gentleman racer. Todd’s crew chief is Dave Trapp and pit crew is Casey McCartney. Streamline Auto Body is owned and operated by Todd McCartney and is his sponsor.
Robby Cartwright came out this year, driving the #40 car and ended his season in the #4 car. Bill Brewer, owner of the #4 car, offered Robby the #4 car so he could finish the season and take home the Rookie trophy. Unfortunately I do not have driver bio information on Robby or Bill but will share what I know, and ask in advance to correct me if I have my few facts incorrect.
Robby’s first race with VMRA was at Ephrata July 2013. He came out and had a great night of racing. Joined in the meet-and-great with the families and fans of VMRA. Pictured below is Robby Cartwright and his 40 car. Robby ended his season in 11th place with 48 points and got rookie of the year with 38 rookie points driving Bill Brewers # 4 car. What a generous offer, thank you Bill for your great show of sportsman ship!
Robby is the first driver in VMRA that flipped and rolled his car at a race. Thank goodness he wasn’t hurt. His claim to fame “Rollin Robby” was gained at South Sound Speedway August 2013. We hope to see Robby Cartwright back out for the 2014 season. Good luck Robby!
The first race will be at South Sound Speedway in Rochester/Tenino area, April 19th. Be watchful for the weather, dress warm and bring your hats, scarfs and gloves.
