Thank you Big Mountain Mail for your dedicated sponsorship to Vintage Modified Racing Association.

Thank you Leonard Schmidt and Les Yeager for your support to the Vintage teams.

It was busy night for Vern Huson Saturday, August 27th.  Vern pulls into the pits in time to get set up and hit the track for qualifying.  After qualifying Vern had his hands full making repairs and wasn’t able to drive in the Heat Race.  It took him the better part of the afternoon on repairs.  Vern was able to hit the track for the Main Event.  The first few laps of the Main Event was lead by Dawn Huntley, 59-car.  Not knowing how his car was going to handle, Robert Rux, 88-car started in the back due to slamming into the wall during the Heat Race which caused extensive damage to the passenger side of his car.  It took Robert and his pit crew, with additional help from other pit crews, over an hour to make repairs and literally pulled in-line for the Main Event as the cars were heading for the track.  Dawn Huntley, 59-car started in the front but was over taken by Mike Clother, 7-car with Devin Eierman , 6-car hot on his bumper.  Unfortunately, Chuck Peterson, 23-car  had to pull off the track early with car trouble and was not able to return to the Main Event.   Later, Devin and Mike did some rubbin and sent both of them into the pits.  Now with 5-laps to go out of 30, it was neck and neck with the 77 and 88 cars.

Congratulations to Vern Huson taking the checkered flag and 1st place trophy.  Robert Rux taking 2nd and Dawn Huntley taking 3rd.  An exciting night of racing!
