| Posted inIt was a great season for Bobby Wheeler, Jr and the 22 team. Bobby is the 2011 Vintage Modified Champion, ending the season with 693 points.
Bobby started racing in 1973 with the car class A Quarter Midget. His first year with VMRA was in 1994. Bobby said, “It’s the fastest car for the money. Drove my dad’s car once and was hooked.” Back in the day Bobby’s favorite track was Hermiston, because it is fast and challenging.
Bobby’s car is a 1939 Chevy with a 350 engine. Bobby’s crew chief is Ken Wolf. Bobby Wheeler, Jr. was the season champion for Vintage Modified Racing Association in 2004, 2005 and now again in 2011.
