Chuck Peterson, driver and owner of Vintage #23, took 5th place ending his season with 1557 points. Chuck was also voted, by his peers, as the Best Sportsman of 2009. Chuck is always available to help anyone who needs it and offer-up parts when any team is in need.

Chuck began Racing in 1969. He went to watch a Drag Race, did not like it. Watched a Stock Race and got involved. He is one of the founding members of VMRA.

Chuck races a 1937 Studebaker, with a 350 engine. Chuck built his car, Dan Watkins is his Crew Chief and Leonard Schmidt is part of his pit crew.

Chuck had the wonderful honor of introducing his grandson, KC, to Vintage Modified racing this season. It was a grand day for the Peterson family with Chuck’s son Jeff, his grandson KC and himself all out on the track this year. A true family of racing!
