Dear Race Families, Friends and Fans,

I come to you today with a heavy heart.

Many of you knew Don Wilson, car #76 the Green Packard. Don passed away Monday evening, October 12th.

Don had many friends. He was a man who would step up and lend a hand, a car and even money too anyone in need with racing help. He was always seen around the pits taking photos, and then giving the photos to the different teams, wonderful black and whites. He was loved by many and will be missed all over the racing community.

VMRA give their condolences to Penny, Don’s wife and their children; as well as, all their family and friends.

For those who can attend, here is the memorial information.

Monday, October 26th at 4pm
Light of the Cross Lutheran Church
2717 180th ST S.E.
Bothell, WA 98012-6603

The location is quite a few miles north of Bothell off of the Bothell Everett Hwy. and just South of Mill Creek. The church sets back from the road on the left hand side just shortly passed the Catholic Church.

Penny said, “Don really loved and talked and lived for the race cars. Please say hello for me too as I was there right along with him.”

I will be sending a card out on behalf of Vintage Modified Racing Association members. If anyone would like to send something more personal on behalf of your own team please send it to the VMRA PO Box and I’ll make sure the family receives it, or to the church address.

Thank you everyone. Please take a moment to reflect your time and experiences with Don Wilson and that 76 Green Packard.
