May 20th at WVSO new comer, Chris Cook in the 1-car took home his first Vintage Modified trophy, winning the Trophy Dash.  This was Chris’ second race with VMRA, his first race ended up with a blown engine. So congratualtions Chris for such an awesome come-back.  Chris began racing in 1976, with 82-amazing wins over his racing career.  Chris races in a 1941 Husdon and Jim Jones built this car.  A special thank you goes out too Chris supporters Jan Snyder and Wild Willy and too his sponsors: Rainer Plumbing and Rooter, Ace Auto Repair, Jim Jones Trucking and Cornwell Tools.

Ken Kalschmidt – 27 car had a wonderful night at Wenatchee Valley Super Oval, not only did take 2nd place in the Main Event and having the fastest time but he also won the A-Heat race. Ken and his team are off to a great start for his first year with VMRA. Congratulations for your great start and running in 1st place and points holder.

What a exciting evening for Aaron Clother in the 54-car.  Aaron took home the B-Heat first place win. This was exciting news all around the track and in the stands.  The previous year was a hard year for the 54-team. Several break downs prevented them from racing a full season. Congratulations Aaron Clother and the 54-team, this is a win well deserved.  Aaron’s car is a 1947 Chevy, built by Aaron and Pat Banks.

May 20th at Wenatchee Valley Super Oval – Devin Eierman – 6 car / Ken Kalschmidt – 27 car / Vern Huson – 77 car took home the first, second and third place trophies.

Congratulatons to Devin Eierman and the 6-team for another first place win this year, a great way to begin the 2017 season.  Devin has been racing since 1990, his first year racing with Vintage Modifieds was in 1994.   His first class was with Spanaway’s Hobby Stocks.  Pictured with Devin are his crew chief, Vince Hose and his father, Robert Eierman.

Ken Kalschmidt – 27 car and team are off to a fantastic start for the 2017 season. This is their first year with VMRA and already has taken home two trophies. The 27-car came in 3rd place in the last race at South Sound Speedway and is now taking home the 2nd place trophy here at Wenatchee Valley Super Oval.  Not only is Ken taking home the 2nd place trophy, but he ran the fastest time at an amazing 14.968 and he is first in points – totalling 148.

This is the second season racing with the 77-team. Vern Huson had the home field advantage, racing at the WVSO, Wenatchee is his home town. Vern puts a lot of miles on the road to race with VMRA, he truly is dedicated to the sport considering all the miles he travels to each race.  Vern and the 77-team are off to a great start for the 2017 season, holding the second place position with a total of 139-points.
