Introduction young Kyten Jones, new rookie to Vintage Modifieds this year. Kyten is driving the bright red 03 car this season.  Kyten manage to hold his own at Evergreen Speedway on June 2nd coming in 4th place in the Main Event.  He received 8-points in the Heat Race, 30-points in the Main Event ending his first night of racing with a total of 32-points.  On the radio spotting for Kyten’s first race was his good friend Keith Cook.  Pictured with Kyten is his dad, Jim Jones.

Kyten was 4 years old when he first started working on race cars with his dad, Jim Jones and his uncles. Kyten would be in the stands at Evergreen Speedway watching his dad race, every weekend during a 21-race season. At age 14 he got his first pit pass, along with the job of being the spotter for his dad. It was only fitting that Kyten’s first race was at Evergreen Speedway. Kyten graduated from Arlington High School in 2011 and is currently employed at Benchmark Barrels. Vintage Modifieds have seen several generation drivers through out the 26-years the club has been racing. It is a fun, family sport and it is always nice seeing the generations keeping the club growing. Thank you to the Petersons, Wheelers, Rinkels and the West families (to name a few) for also being generation racers.
