| Posted inWhat an exciting night of racing. Even with a very low car count, the cars that put forth an awesome effort to show up, put on a good show for the fans.
Jim Jones, #03, took a clean sweep winning the B-Trophy Dash, Heat Race and the 40-lap Main Event.
Mike Clother, #7, held steady and strong in first position during main event until #03 was able to get around him on the stretch between turn 2 and 3. #7 took home the 2nd place trophy.
Bobby Wheeler, #22, didn’t make it easy for either Jim or Mike. He kept right in there through the main event taking home the 3rd place trophy.
It is always a proud moment for Jim’s best and favorite fan when he brings home another trophy.
We had a six car count for WVSO Saturday night. Robert Rux #88 ran into problem after problem with his motor. He was able to make it out for each race, unfortunately taking only one lap each race. Les, his crew chief, and Robert were busting butt all night to get their car on the track. It was a very hot day in the pits, but they did their best and #88 was able to hit the track.
John Mustered, #26, had problems of his own just getting to the track on Saturday. He had two flats, at different spots on the high way, on his car trailer. Boy oh boy, he made it in time to get his car on the track to time-in.
Tom Smitham, #5, stepped up for car #23 who was in need of a driver. A lot of great teaming in the pits at WVSO on Saturday night.
Thank you to all the teams that showed up on Saturday night and put on a wonderful show for the fans.
