What a Night of Racing at Ephrata Raceway Park – Saturday – September 6, 2014

Posted by | Posted in General | Posted on 08-09-2014

Racing Saturday night was anything but boring.  The 30-lap  Main Event had two lap leaders for the first 29-laps, with in seconds and a foot Bobby Wheeler Jr. in the 22-car came in for the win!  Kyten Jones in the 30-car lead the first seven laps when Devin Eierman in the 6-car passed him and took over the lead for the next twenty-two laps.  At first no one knew who won until the announcer claimed Bobby Wheeler Jr. as the Main Event winner.

The first caution came after the 5th lap, Robby Cartwright in the 4-car spun out in a cloud of dust.  The 2nd caution came at the 15th lap when Dave Trapp in the 51-car spun out creating more then a cloud of dust, it looked like a dust-bowl-wind-storm.  After the dust cleared and racing continued Robert Rux in the 88-car came to a halt with a blown engine with only 7-laps to go.  What an exciting night or racing!

Bobby Wheeler Jr. taking home the Main Event trophy.  Devin in 2nd and Kyten in 3rd.

Congratulations to our 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
